On 03/28/2016, within implementation of Activity #6 of the “Contemporary approaches to research, presentation and access to the literary heritage of Gabrovo Province” project were open the two digitization centres in the premises of the project participants and server centre in the building of Regional Historical Museum of Gabrovo. The centres have specialized book scanners Image Access, 3D scanner for scanning artefacts and scanner for scanning films, slides, glass plates; specialized servers for storage of digital content; eLib-Prima/i-Lib-Prima based digital library/museum software solution for presenting the cultural heritage on the Internet; virtual library/museum platform based on virtualized server system. The founding of digitization centres for cultural heritage in the Regional Historical Museum and Regional Library provide conditions for further digitalization of objects of cultural value owned by institutions and individuals with a view to preserve them for future generations.
